Employment Opportunities for August 2021 - new position advertised

JIS - International Section is recruiting for a first aid and / or resources assistant to start in August 2021. These roles can be considered together or as separate items - depending on the applicants experience and interest.

This above position is now available due to the relocation of the current postholder. The position has previously combined nursing / first aid skills with some admin responsibilities for resources ordering and management within the school. The position has evolved in this way but could be changed to accomodate a new person in role.  The role is interesting and broad to allow for some positive integration with the school community and its students. Daily duties would involve managing first aid for the students and also planning and developing the suply of resources for the school. The position is for term time only so would ideally suit a parent who would prefer school holidays with their family, to support child care. Applicants can be from within the JIS community and beyond.

The school would like to employ someone who has nursing or strong first aid expereince to support our students and staff for accidents and medical concerns during the school day. The school has daily medication and simple firsat aid to manage with the occasional referral to parents to take students home who are unwell or who may have been injured at recess times or during PE lessons. The school has medical facilities in which to work. Previous experience in a first aid advisory or active position would be prefereed for this role.

Due to the sporadic nature of first aid situations the role of resource manager has been added to this position  to create and interesting option. The resources of the school are centrally ordered and managed in a variety of spaces within the school - classrooms, resource room, art and science room. Administration skills linked to ordering and managing resources would be ideal and may come from a variety of  experience - not jujst educational. Orders are placed with Hng Kong based companies and also some international organisations. Liaising and gaining quotations from these companies is a key component of the role.
